  • Limit of three (3) garbage receptacles per week. Additional bags must be in preprinted bags, which are available for purchase at Municipal Office and Marsville Convenience for $2.00 a bag. Residents are encouraged to recycle and compost to reduce the amount of material being land filled.

  • Materials not acceptable for collection may be taken to Dufferin Transfer Station, Cty. Rd. 11 ~ 519-943-0101
  • Backyard Composters are available for purchase at the municipal office for $30.00
  • DUFFERIN COMPOSTS!! - Green Bins have been delivered to all households and Household Compost Pick up has started. If you have any questions regarding this program contact Waste Managment Divison at the County of Dufferin 519-941-2816 ext. 2620 or wastemgmt@dufferincounty.on.ca
  • You must arrange for pick up of large appliances, furniture and large bulky items a week in advance with Sandhill Disposal 519-941-3345. These items are noted on the schedule for the second Monday of the month.
  • Materials not accepted for collection may be taken directly to Dufferin Transfer Station County Rd. 11 or Leferink Transfer Station in Georgetown (905) 877-1420. You may also contact Sandhill Disposal at 941-3345; Central Disposal 1-800-331-6504; Masters 905-936-4939 to arrange for private pick-up or roll-off bin.
  • The illegal dumping of refuse and debris on Township road allowances and private property is prohibited. Violators will be prosecuted.
  • Recyclable Materials need not be sorted, just placed in your Blue Box. The truck used for collection has two compartments - one for garbage and one for recyclables.
  • Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling 2010 dates: May 1 - Town of Mono; May 29 - Primrose; June 26 - Orangeville; *Wednesday, July 21 - Primrose; *Wednesday August 18 - Primrose; September 11 - Grand Valley; October 2 - Primrose; October 30 - Orangeville.
